Vortex parasols installation at Urquhart Castle, Lochness. This storm parasol is UK designed & manufactured , an ideal all year rain and shade solution.

HISTORIC SCOTLAND is the public body which looks after the heritage of Scotland including the preservation, maintenance and management of over 70 Listed Buildings, Monuments, Gardens, and Battlefields. The building department contacted us with a view to the supply and installation of 4 ; 4.2m x 4.2m Vortex parasols to the Urquhart Castle visitor centre Terrace over looking Loch Ness.

Vortex parasols , with fire retardant Ferrari 502 pvc canopy, are manufactured in the UK , the canopy frame including struts and pole are 316 marine grade stainless steel . This storm parasol has been tested to Beaufort Storm force 11 and BS Certified to 100 Km/h wind speed . The Vortex parasol may be installed with a surface mounted anchoring system allowing the parasol to be moved if required , alternative installation into a ground fitting which is concreted into the ground or bolted to a deck.

The Vortex parasols at Urquhart Castle , on surface mounted anchors and with Spruce Green coloured canopy, were set up in a symmetrical group with interlinking guttering to provide a rain & shade protected area of over 70 sqm.
