We used this company for an ambitious canopy at our house in London. The owner Jon Clapham is clearly passionate about his creations and oversees each one personally. The result is elegant, effective and beautifully made. The stainless steel fittings are of the highest quality and the whole exercise was a text book in delivering quality and value with no fuss. I can’t see how anyone would want to go anywhere else once one has discovered him.
The sail was designed and built during our very busy refurbishment, and we are delighted with the result. Staff, management and especially our customers love the ambiance under the Schooner Sail. The Wood-fired Pizza Oven and Bar facilities are very popular and extend our hospitality areas during the Spring & Summer seasons.

We chose Sherlock and Watson Ltd t/a Alfresco365 as they were prepared to go the extra mile, literally, to bring these storm rated parasols all the way up to the Highlands. Loch Ness is often a very windy and wet location, and we have many visitors to our Historic Castle and award winning visitor centre, these parasols will provide cover in all weathers. The portability of the units means we can maximise the investment, and reduce the impact of a permanent structure.
Jon Clapham at Alfresco 365/Sherlock and Watson Ltd visited to discuss a retractable canopy over our Gastro pub garden at The Truscott Arms, Maida Vale, London. We wanted to create an alfresco dining area to extend our restaurant seating capacity. We went for the Markilux 110 pergola awning, plus 2 dimmable Hotspot Heat/light combination units. The whole garden make over was a considerable investment, the ambiance is fantastic. One year later it has paid for itself’.
